Do you have trouble getting a good sleep at night? Stress, electromagnetic frequencies from computers, cell phones and other electronics, bright lights, play a big role. They all affect our sleep hormones and our nervous system. There are many more factors that influence our brain, nervous system and hormones and offset our night’s sleep. The easiest solution is to reach for a sleeping pill. But this cannot work in the long term, we must think about our health.
Sleeping pills have side effects such as difficulty focusing, dizziness, memory problems, constipation, and stomach pain.
When we don’t get enough sleep our thinking skills are impaired, our energy drops, motor skills decline and we’re at bigger risk for diseases as diabetes, obesity and cancer.
So what can we do?
The right solution is in our kitchen.
Banana and cinnamon tea will provide you a quality sleep.
Bananas are rich in magnesium and potassium. But, many people don’t know that banana peel contains even more magnesium and potassium than the banana itself.
Magnesium and potassium are good for relaxing the muscles and beneficial for the nervous system.
Magnesium is the most crucial mineral for the muscles and can reduce aches, pains and muscle cramps.
If we want to manage the stress, to relax and easily fall asleep we need magnesium.
Cinnamon is great in balancing the blood sugar. When the blood sugar is balanced, our hormones function better and allow us a better sleep.
If our blood sugar is low, then we usually have energy at night, but we are tired during the day.
This recipe is great fighting insomnia and other sleep disorders.
a sprinkle of cinnamon
1 banana with peel (organic)
1 small pot of water
Cut off the ends of the banana.
Put the banana into bowling water. Boil it 10 minutes. Add a little cinnamon into the water. If you want some sweetness, you can add some stevia. Stevia is good for balancing the blood sugar levels.
